Why “Type I”?
In 1964 the astronomer Nikolai Kardashev ranked civilizations by the energy they can harness. A Type I civilization uses all the energy available on its home planet — and lives in balance with it. By Carl Sagan's measure, humanity today stands at roughly 0.73 on that scale.
Closing that gap is not only an engineering challenge. It means producing energy cleanly, designing things that last, and carrying our shared heritage with us. That is the work EHTTI is built around.

About the Heritage atlas
Turn the globe, choose a continent or an ocean, and step into its wonders — from the Pyramids of Giza to the Great Blue Hole. Every model was made for this atlas, in the painted style of a strategy-game map.

A note on accuracy
Every wonder sits in its real region, but neighbours that stand very close are spread a little apart so each one can be seen. The texts are short introductions and are being reviewed; places known from legend are marked as such.
